But the data is not consistent with other data, from BloombergNEF (444 GW PV additions in 2023) and WWEA (116 GW of wind power additions in 2023) which would summerize to: 560 GW in 2023. The difference mainly comes from the PV data wich is calculated from IRENA, to be 345.5 GW last year.

Power capacity additions reached a new benchmark of 473 gigawatts in 2023, but many countries are cut off from the benefits of energy transitions. Renewables accounted for 86% of capacity additions; however, this growth is unevenly distributed across the world.
