Campaign for increased lifetime integrity of cables Hollandse Kust Zuid
Vattenfall have contracted Deme Offshore NL BV to provide rock installation works, utilizing their fleet of inclined fall pipe vessels.
Works shall take place between Q4 2023 and Q1 2025. Sam Gardner, Project Manager, says: “Based on lessons learned in the offshore wind industry, Vattenfall are taking proactive measures to reduce risk and increase the lifetime integrity by stabilizing the Inter Array Cables (IAC) at HKZ 1-4 with rock berms.” Prior to rock berm installation works commencing, Vattenfall contracted Fugro to carry out IAC inspections and scour pad surveys.
