Ignitis Group starts commercial operation of wind farm in Lithuania

The first wind farm, built independently in Lithuania by the international green energy company Ignitis Renewables in the Mazeikiai district, has reached the start of its commercial operation. This step brings Ignitis Group closer to implementing its green generation goals. It is estimated that the 63 MW wind farm will help power over 50,000 homes with clean renewable energy.

“Our ambitious goals include increasing Ignitis Group’s green generation capacity 4 times from 1.2 GW in 2022 to 4–5 GW in 2030.
