Renewable energy generation between July and September (2022) was up 55.3% on the same period in 2021, The Scottish Government has revealed.

Renewable electricity capacity also increased over the past year to 13.6GW in September 2022, up 1.4GW since September 2021. Responding to new figures published today, Nick Sharpe, Director of Communications and Strategy at Scottish Renewables, said: “These figures round off what has been an amazing year for our industry.
