The Netherlands - Wind turbine maker Emergya Wind Technologies to expand production

Dutch producer of wind turbines Emergya Wind Technologies (EWT) is considering an initial public offering of its shares early next year on the London Stock exchange, the company said on Wednesday.

EWT, which has been active since 2004, plans to raise funds to expand production. It prefers the London stock exchange because of its size and international exposure, a spokesman for the wind turbine maker said.

Newspaper Het Financieele Dagblad earlier quoted EWT's main shareholder as saying the company was valued between 400 million and 600 million euros ($578 million-$867 million) and that it intends to collect 150 million to 250 million euros via the offering.

A EWT spokesman declined to give details of the offering, but said the company will issue a prospectus by early next year.

EWT expects to achieve sales of 70 million euros to 80 million this year, up from 16.5 million last year, the spokesman said.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) are expected to reach 5 million to 6 million euros, Het Financieele Dagblad quoted EWT's main shareholder as saying.
