The Senvion turbines will be added to JSW Energy's existing pipeline of approximately 2.5 GW of renewable projects under construction. The delivery includes Senvion's 2.7MW turbines and will commence in the first half of 2022. The project also comes with a 10-year O&M contract, a comprehensive maintenance programme by Senvion for the installed turbines.

Prashant Jain, MD & CEO at JSW Energy, said, "We are delighted to partner with Senvion on our flagship wind projects. Senvion has presented a high quality proposal backed by high quality turbines, strong technical capabilities and a willingness to work together on solutions for successful execution of the project. We look forward to the timely completion of the wind projects under construction."

Senvion India was originally part of Hamburg, Germany-based turbine manufacturer Senvion, which was broken up following insolvency.
