Only 10% of region's RE100 companies have signed corporate PPAs
Corporate renewable power purchase agreements (PPA) are starting to play a bigger role in Asia Pacific’s decarbonisation efforts, says Wood Mackenzie, a Verisk business (Nasdaq:VRSK). A corporate renewable PPA refers to a contract between a corporate buyer and a renewable power producer to purchase electricity at a pre-agreed price and duration. Wood Mackenzie estimates that corporate renewable PPA volume more than doubled to 3.8 gigawatts (GW) in 2020 compared to the previous year.
