Permits for 22MW secured for Phase 1 of St. Riquier wind farm

First French office set to open in Caen

Zurich, 13 September 2007 – renergys, the wind energy developer, owner and operator, has secured building permits for 22MW at its St. Riquier wind farm in France. renergys currently has several key projects in France.
In order to strengthen its position in the French market and facilitate the acquisition and development of further projects in the portfolio, renergys intends to open an office in Caen, which will be lead by Michael Ratjazcyk.

“We are delighted that in St. Riquier we can again show that we are turning our pipeline into real projects in France,” said Mark Jones, renergys’ CEO. “The opening of our new French office is proof of our long-term commitment to this key market, and we are delighted to welcome Michael Ratjazcyk on board.”

“St. Riquier is an excellent example of how renergys applies top quality project management, technical and financial expertise to achieve project success,” said Markus Lesser, renergys’ COO.

France is one of the fastest-growing markets for wind energy in Europe. In February 2007, renergys took over the St. Riquier project, which is now in the construction phase. St. Riquier is set to come on-stream in Q2 2009. The 12MW Caen wind farm, which renergys took over in 2005, is now fully approved and set to come on-stream in Q2 2008. renergys currently has a pipeline of more than 100MW in France. This forms part of its broader European pipeline.

renergys will be represented at Husum Wind in Hall 2, Booth B11.
