DIF Capital Partners awards Vestas four project contracts
The four projects are Pruszcz (70 MW), Markowice (26 MW), Piaski (8 MW) and Wyszki (4 MW). The Pruszcz and Markowice projects are located in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodship, while the Piaski and Wyszki projects are located in the Wielkopolskie voivodship.
Vestas will supply 52 V100-2.0 MW turbines and two V90-2.0 MW turbines for the wind farms. The Danish turbine manufacturer will also provide service under 20-year Active Output Management 4000 (AOM 4000) contracts.
“We’re pleased to be partnering with DIF Capital Partners for their next four projects in Poland, and continuing to deliver the wind-powered clean energy transition for Poland,” said Richard Baylis, VP Sales East & Business Development at Vestas Northern & Central Europe. “The 2 MW platform turbines are perfect matches for these four projects, and Vestas is excited to build on the 2.6 GW of installed capacity we already have in Poland. With onshore wind delivering Poland’s Just Transition, and offshore wind soon to come, Vestas is well-placed to support”.
Turbine deliveries for all four projects are expected to start in 2021, while commissioning for all projects will be completed by the end of 2022.
