REpower delivers 44 turbines (88 MW) for enXco to the US

Hamburg/Escondido, 25 July 2007. REpower Systems AG (WKN 617703) will deliver 44 wind energy turbines of the MM92 type (total capacity 88 MW) to the US for the project developer enXco, the US subsidiary of EDF Energies Nouvelles. The turbines are destined for various wind farm projects in the southwest of Washington State. 35 turbines are scheduled to be installed next year, the remaining nine in the year 2009. REpower is already working together with enXco for the wind farms Goodnoe Hills (Washington State) and Shiloh II (California).

Patrick McAllister, Vice President Technical Services at enXco, comments: “Our relationship with REpower continues to grow, and we are pleased with how the two companies are working together to make these projects a success.”

REpower’s CEO Prof. Fritz Vahrenholt adds: “With enXco’s parent company EDF Energies Nouvelles, we have been cooperating successfully at large projects throughout Europe. It is pleasant to establish a relationship as long-term and trustful with the US subsidiary now.”

In terms of the current backlog, the US constitutes the largest market of REpower Systems AG. To be present there locally because of the high demand, REpower is currently establishing a US-branch office for sales, service and project management issues in Portland/Oregon.
