Wind Industry Profile of
Three Swedish Wind Farms Sold to Commerz Real
Three onshore wind farms in southern Sweden are changing hands for 82.5 million euros. The eleven wind turbines in total are from the German-Spanish manufacturer Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy; grid connection is planned for autumn 2023.
"With this transaction we are further diversifying our portfolio internationally," explains Jan-Peter Müller, Head of Infrastructure Investments at Commerz Real. The asset manager for tangible asset investments of Commerzbank Group had just acquired a wind farm in Beckum, Germany.
The parks are located in Vaggeryd (about 130 kilometres east of Gothenburg), Ulricehamn (about 85 kilometres east of Gothenburg) and Falköping (about 105 kilometres northeast of Gothenburg). Eolus was also mandated to provide technical maintenance and management of the facilities on site after completion.
Commerz Real now manages more than 50 solar power plants and - including the most recent transactions - fourteen on- and offshore wind farms. Their total nominal output exceeds 1 gigawatt. According to the International Atomic Energy Agency IAEA, this corresponds to the average output of a nuclear power plant.
