aerodyn Energiesysteme GmbH developed for the upcoming 11 MW to 15 MW turbine generation a pre-design of a 111.0m long rotor blade. A modern structural concept, combined with aerodyn’s 30+ years of experience in turbine and blade development, lead to a promising pre-design initially optimized for 14 MW rated power on a TC1B site. However, to meet the optimum for specific turbine or site conditions the blade design can be widely adjusted.

This rotor blade design features with hybrid CFRP-GFRP spar caps to reduce the use of costly C-fibres to a minimum.
