Wind Industry Profile of
ROSATOM Now Involved In Wind Market
The Adygea wind farm, consisting of 60 wind turbines, has a total capacity of 150 MW and is currently the largest wind farm in Russia. It now supplies electricity for the wholesale market.
To promote the Russian wind market, a large part of the components and parts must be built in Russia itself. The rate for this project was 65 percent. In the future, the share is even to be increased to 80 to 85 percent, which the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade emphasized.
ROSATOM is currently implementing a programme for the construction of wind farms at four other locations in the Stavropol and Rostov region. The next largest wind farm with an installed capacity of 210 MW will be built in the Kochubeyevsky district of Stavropol region.
