REpower Systems AG receives 30 MW order in Scotland
- Contract with Airtricity for around EUR 30 million concluded
- Erection of 15 wind energy turbines of the type MM82
Hamburg, 26 March 2007. REpower Systems AG (WKN 617703) received an order from one of the UK’s largest windfarm developers and operators, Airtricity, to supply 15 wind turbines type MM82 (equals to a total capacity of 30 MW) to Scotland. The total order volume for the project amounts to around EUR 30 million. The wind farm at Dalswinton is the third windfarm project to be constructed by Airtricity in Scotland. The order will be conducted by REpower UK Ltd, based in Edinburgh.
Start of construction of the wind farm Dalswinton is scheduled to be this week. The turbines are expected to be put into operation in one year and will supply power to about 18,000 homes.
