REpower reports financial figures for 2006 and increases sales target for 2008 to at least EUR 900 million
Hamburg, 20 March 2007. Following a successful fiscal year, REpower Systems AG (WKN 617703) is back on its path of profitable growth and is presenting its figures for the 2006 fiscal year today at its accounts press conference in Frankfurt/Main.
In fiscal year 2006, the REpower Group installed or delivered a total of 263 wind turbines with a total output of 492.0 megawatt. In the previous year, 201 turbines with a total output of 366.0 megawatt were installed or delivered. This represents a 34.4 percent increase in installed output. Including the consolidated companies, the Group's total performance rose to EUR 461.5 million after EUR 335.1 million in 2005. Consolidated sales rose by 39.9 percent year-on-year from EUR 328.1 million to EUR 458.8 million. The international share of overall installed output rose from 31.9 percent to 72.4 percent.
In 2006, the consolidated operating result before interest and taxes (EBIT) was significantly higher than the previous year's figure of EUR -4.3 million at EUR 12.2 million. The net result improved from EUR -6.8 million to EUR 7.1 million. Accordingly, earnings per share improved from EUR –1.19 to EUR 0.94.
The number of employees in the REpower Systems Group rose by 200 over the course of the year from 631 to 831.
For the current fiscal year, REpower is forecasting significant sales growth to EUR 650 million and a further improvement in the earnings margin. For 2008, REpower Systems AG increases its sales target from at least EUR 850 million to EUR 900 million.
