Wind Industry Profile of

Albatros Ready To Fly

All wind turbines of the Albatros Offshore Wind Farm are installed. Thus the currently largest German wind power project can go into operation in the coming weeks.

Friday evening, the last wind turbine of the Albatros offshore wind farm was erected in the German North Sea. With an output of 609 MW, this is the largest wind project currently under construction in Germany. Project developer EnBW installed a total of 87 turbines in the two neighbouring wind farms Hohe See and Albatros.

The wind turbines will be commissioned in the coming weeks. By the end of the year, both wind farms will go into operation and then produce around 2.5 billion kilowatt hours of electricity annually - enough to supply all households in Munich, according to EnBW.
