EnBW Completes Construction of 'EnBW Hohe See' Offshore Wind Farm

German energy company EnBW has announced to have completed the installation of all wind turbines in the Offshore Wind Farm EnBW Hohe See. Now the installation vessels will head over to Albatros Offshore Wind Farm to finish up there.

EnBW has now installed all 71 wind turbines of its offshore wind farm 'Hohe See' in the German North Sea. Meanwhile, the commissioning of the Hohe See turbines continues as 27 turbines have already been put into operation and feed electricity into the grid.

Now installation vessels "Blue Tern" and "Brave Tern" will head over to adjacent wind farm Albatros to complete 16 more wind turbines.

Both projects represent the largest offshore wind project with 609 Megawatt currently being realised in Germany. Both wind farms will be put into operation later this year. Canadian energy infrastructure company Enbridge Inc. has acquired 49.9 percent of the shares in both wind farms. EnBW has retained the remaining 50.1 percent in both cases.
