TEPCO Founds Seperate Company for Renewable Energy Development

Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings (TEPCO) has announced the plan to form a separate company to handle TEPCO's renewable energy generation business.

Japanese energy company TEPCO - the name which will forever bei connected to the Fukushima nuclear desaster - is promoting the use of renewable energy as a primary energy source as it aims to develop projects on a total scale of six to seven million kW both within and outside of Japan.

To achieve this goal, TEPCO has decided to form a seperate company which will concentrate on developing renewable energy projects. It will starts its business by April 1, 2020.

TEPCO HD, and the entire TEPCO Group will continue to fulfill its responsibilities for the Fukushima Nuclear Accident while establishing a foundation for continual revenue aimed at the recovery of Fukushima and seeking to improve the corporate value of the entire Group.
