RTS Wind AG reaches the next major milestone in February 2019. "We are now crossing Europe's borders to install high-voltage systems with our Correll partners in the Formosa offshore wind farm," says Ivo Lippe, CEO of RTS. Formosa is an offshore wind farm at the coast of Taiwan and China. It is Taiwan's first offshore wind farm. In the first phase, two Siemens SWT4.0-120 wind turbines (4 MW turbines) were built. These have been in operation since April 2017. An expansion of the wind farm by twenty 6 MW turbines from Siemens Gamesa is planned for this year. This will increase the installed capacity to 128 MW.
