Vestas receives 306 MW order from EnerAB derived from a corporate PPA and surpasses 2.1 GW of total order intake in Mexico
EnerAB, a joint venture between The AES Corporation and Grupo BAL, has placed a 306 MW order with Vestas for the Mesa la Paz wind park that derives from a corporate power purchase agreement (PPA).
In recent years, Vestas has increased its manufacturing footprint and commercial offering in Mexico to provide full value chain solutions, which has resulted in orders across different project types, including auctions and PPAs. The order includes the supply and installation of 85 V136-3.45 MW turbines, delivered in 3.6 MW Power Optimised Mode, as well as a 15-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement for the operation and maintenance of the wind park located in the state of Tamaulipas.
