The planned project is the first wind farm of Compañía Española de Petróleos, S. A. U. (short Cepsa), who have previously been active in the oil and gas sector. However, they are aiming to diversify their portfolio and will invest into renewable energies in the future.

The wind farm will have a capacity of 29 megawatts and is scheduled to produce electricity at the end of this year. Siemens Gamesa will also take over operation and maintenance of the project for the next five years.

With this acquisition, Siemens Gamesa are further expanding their leading wind turbine manufacturer position in Spain. In Andalusia alone, their market share is 60 percent.
