REpower successfully concludes capital increase

Hamburg, 7 April 2006. REpower Systems AG (WKN 617703) successfully concluded its capital increase with subscription rights, generating gross issue proceeds of approximately EUR 82 million. The new shares are included in the existing listing and can be traded immediately.

The capital increase met with a strong response among both private and institutional investors. All subscription rights were exercised. According to provisional calculations, AREVA increased its shareholding in the company to considerably over 25 percent.

As a result of the capital increase, the share capital of REpower Systems AG has increased by EUR 2,160,599.00 from EUR 5,941,198.00 to EUR 8,101,797.00.
