Khobab wind farm in South Africa is fully on schedule

The construction of the Khobab wind park is fully on schedule, as announced by project manager Mainstream RP. At the beginning of December, the last foundation for plant number 61 was finished - even a little earlier than expected, which can be traced back to the indefatigable work of the participating companies. The workers, which were specially trained for these tasks, are mainly from the community of Hantam, 60 km north of Loeriesfontein on the Northern Cape in South Africa.

“As part of our commitment to skills development and community development, we have provided local employees with transferable skills training, which can be used at other wind farms or other construction sites," said Kevin Foster, project manager for the Khobab wind farm from Mainstream.

The company, which is active a lot in Africa, puts great emphasis to the local communities during the construction of their wind farms in order to sustain something for the municipalities.
