All three new halls for the WindEnergy 2006 to be completed by February
In the course of modernisation and expansion of the Hamburg Fair site, HMC (Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH) has another milestone to announce - the construction work on Halls A2 and A3 will be completed in February. That means all three new exhibition halls (A1 to A3), where the WindEnergy 2006 is to be held, will have been completed. Exhibitors and visitors at the international trade fair in May will have some 23,000 square metres at their disposal, with hall heights of up to 18 metres. The new halls are equipped with the most advanced technology, giving ideal conditions for optimisation of logistics.
"Completion of the two additional halls is a step on the way that HMC is taking to secure its position in international quality competition," says Dietmar Aulich, Managing Director of HMC. "Halls A1 to A3 are particularly suitable for the WindEnergy, giving the right space to make full use of its potential as theleading trade fair for the industry."
These two halls complete a part of the second expansion stage of the "New Hamburg Fair". Hall A1 was inaugurated for the INTERNORGA Hotel and Catering Fair in March 2005. Expansion of the hall space and optimisation of the infrastructure around the fair site is a part of the "New Hamburg Trade Fair" project, which involved capital expenditure of 330 million euros. The "New Hamburg Trade Fair" will be completed in successive stages by 2008.
