UK: CWind wins 20 year Operations & Maintenance contract

CWind, a leading provider of services to the offshore wind industry, has announced today, that it has won a contract to provide mechanical & electrical services to the offshore and onshore substations at Westermost Rough offshore wind farm.

Timed to coincide with the hand over of the OFTO assets to TC Westermost Rough OFTO Limited, the company has signed up CWind to maintain the mechanical and electrical systems of both the offshore and onshore substations as well as the routine inspections of the onshore cables for the 205 MW project 8km off the Holderness coast. The contract covers all routine inspection, diagnostics and planned maintenance work, as well as a first response service and offshore transport, for a period of 20 years commencing in February 2016.

The fact that they already have an established operations in Grimsby and recent experience at Westermost Rough, presented an additional benefit.”
