Norway: Eidesvik enters the Offshore Wind Marked

Eidesvik has entered into an agreement with Siemens Wind Power for a Service- and support vessel in German sector. Contract commencement will be in August.

The vessel Acergy Viking has been chartered to Siemens Wind Power for 9 months as an accommodation and service vessel in German sector. Eidesvik have for some time looked into Offshore Wind as a strategic business segment and has no secured the first contract within this segment. The vessel will undertake a short mobilization prior to the commencement, which includes installing an offshore gangway system.

“I am pleased with our organizations ability to adapt to a new marked and that we now will enter a new business segment with one of our existing Subsea vessels. The Acergy Viking has been in lay-up for a short period and we are glad that she will be out in operation again.” says Eidesvik CEO Jan Fredrik Meling.
