MOVENTAS INCREASES WIND TURBINE GEAR DELIVERIES TO INGETUR

Moventas of Finland has agreed on substantial deliveries of wind turbine gears to the Spanish company Ingetur, which is a part of an ACCIONA Group. The agreement refers to deliveries that will take place in 2006.

Moventas will increase its serial deliveries of wind turbine gears to Ingetur in 2006. The delivery will consist of gears for the customer's wind turbines in the 1.5-megawatt class and for which Moventas’ gear solution was chosen since the beginning of the turbine's production history. This supply is a part of Ingetur's expansion plans in Spain and other countries.

The delivery will include a planetary/helical-type of gearbox specially designed to fit Ingetur's specifications. "As a result of this mutual agreement, our cooperation with Ingetur, which has lasted for several years, will further enhance our long standing relationship," says Jyrki Virtanen, Senior Vice President, Moventas Wind Gears.
