The new TR 6, the EEG and the wind measurement
The second half of 2014 changed the wind energy business in Germany, with the new EEG and the new TR 6 (Technische Richtlinie 6) setting up a new framework for developing wind farm projects. The effects are already visible at the front end of the supply chain: the use of met masts, lidar and sodar devices for wind measurement in energy yield studies and site assessment is now specified in much more details.
But how exactly does this affect the wind measurement? What does this mean for project developers, consultants, and investors? How must a wind measurement campaign be designed to comply with the new frame work and to reduce risk and uncertainties?
Windhunter will raise these issues in their presentation at the Spreewind conference on 12th November 2014. Wind Hunter can draw on the experience of 14 years in the wind measurement, over 800 wind measurement masts installed around the globe, and a dedicated team of over 60 engineers, technicians and wind power experts.
