Siemens’ International Magazine “Living Energy” Wins Yet Another Award

Pearl Award in Gold for Siemens' "Living Energy" international magazine / Selected as "Best International Publication" from among some 600 entrants / Previous issue (No. 7, Nov. 2012) already won several prizes

Siemens Energy has won Gold at the Pearl Awards in New York City for its interna-tional magazine "Living Energy". From some 600 submissions originating from 13 different countries, the eighth issue of "Living Energy", which appeared in July 2013, was selected as the "Best International Publication". The Siemens magazine provides decision-makers in the energy industry insights into current and future energy topics, offering detailed reports on innovations, trends and applications from Siemens' Energy Sector. The prize-winning issue was dedicated to the energy market of the future. The magazine was designed and produced by the Swiss publishing agency Primafila in association with independent Medien-Design of Munich. With a print run of 17,000 copies, "Living Energy" is available in more than 120 countries and also as an app.

"We are especially proud to be lauded at the Pearl Awards as an outstanding inter-national magazine. 'Living Energy' has always placed a premium on the global di-mension of energy issues with its correspondents researching on location to present balanced, culturally sensitive and highly relevant analyses for our readers," says Jan-Peter Schwartz, Vice President of Corporate Communications for Siemens' Energy Sector. The magazine has a reputation as a barometer for professional decision-makers in the business world, the political arena, and among research and academic institutions.

The Pearl Awards are presented annually by the Custom Content Council – the leading professional organization for branded content and content marketing in North America. Its members include the industry's top publishers, media companies and marketing agencies. Over 30 judges assembled in New York City, Washington D.C. and San Francisco to judge all 587 entries.

The previous issue of "Living Energy" (No. 7, November 2012) had already harvest-ed several prizes. At the Best of Corporate Publishing Awards it won Silver in two categories – for the magazine as a whole, and for its feature article on "Repowering Kirishi". The film on this particular reportage also won the Silver Dolphin at the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards. The next issue is set to follow in December 2013, delivering the same high quality news. Focusing on the global role of natural gas as an energy source for power generation, a number of experts will examine this topic from international and various specific local perspectives. This new issue, which will also feature a report on the world's largest offshore wind farm, will be available online as of December 11, 2013 at: www.siemens.com/living-energy.
