Mitsubishi and Barclays are taking control of London Array transmission

The two companies have bought the transmission cable linking the world's biggest offshore farm with the shore

Mitsubishi and Barclays have bought the underwater transmission cable of London Array, the world biggest offshore wind farm for 546 million Euro. The cable will be supervised by Blue Transmission London Array, a consortium of both companies, according to 'Bizz energy today'.

London Array is the biggest operating offshore wind farm in the world so far. 175 turbines are located in the North Sea in front of the shore of England with a capacity of 630 MW. E.ON, Dong Energy and Masdar Abu Dhabi Future Energy are the joint owners of the farm which was built for 2,2 billion Euro.
