SGS Asset Integrity Management 2013 Summit in Pakistan
Together with strong strategic partners PEC (Pakistan Engineering Council) and FPCCI (Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry), SGS Pakistan will host the 2013 SGS Asset Integrity Management Summit. Scheduled to take place 26-27 November at the Sheraton Hotel & Towers in Karachi, this project of corporate social responsibility aims to highlight and discuss day to day challenges plant owners and operators face in safely and reliably maintaining assets integrity.
The first of its kind, SGS Asset Integrity Management Summit addressing the crucial subject of industrial asset longevity will serve as a platform for interdisciplinary industry leaders and policy makers to network with professional colleagues and reflect upon recent developments and experiences. International speakers and panels will present research, papers, case studies and offer solutions for business-specific queries related to how to best enhance safety, maximize production and implement integrity.
Call for Papers
In hosting the inaugural international summit focusing on fostering the exchange of information on plant integrity and extending the life cycles of industrial assets, SGS invites international speakers to present papers on the subject of asset integrity management. Pre-Event Workshops
In preparation for the main summit, SGS Pakistan is offering two pre-event workshops to be held on 25 November at the Sheraton Hotel & Towers in Karachi. Entitled "Application of LRUT for Assessment of Piping / Pipeline Integrity" and "TOFD - A Reliable Weld Scanning Technique in Lieu of RT", these workshops will provide some basic insight and prepare participants for main-event discussions.
The Main Event
The SGS Asset Integrity Management 2013 Summit will feature presentations and panel discussions chaired by distinguished international industry experts from oil & gas up-stream & down-stream, energy generation & transmission, chemical & process plants and consumer goods manufacturing. The event offers a unique and excellent opportunity to meet technical experts, regulators and business leaders from these diverse industry segments impacting the global economy.
Panel discussions headed by top managers of national and international organizations will highlight challenges being faced, success stories, best practices, synergies and the way forward. Participation by regulators and policy makers from both private and government organizations will discuss rationalizing policy matters and taking proactive measures for the benefit of national assets. In all, the event focuses on how to ensure the safe, reliable and continued operation of all industrial assets key to production sustainability and continuity.
Category-specific issues affecting tanks, pressure vessels, pipelines, piping and rotating equipment will be covered in tailored sessions. Participants may also enjoy an exhibition highlighting state-of-the-art solutions and services.
