Wind Industry Profile of
ACCIONA Windpower North America has appointed Leif Andersen as director of wind turbine sales
According to ACCIONA, Andersen brings with him more than 25 years of wind industry experience. He not only led U.S. sales for the likes of Suzlon, Vestas and NEG Micon, but he served for 10 years as a board member of the American Wind Energy Association.
He comes to the company as it works to further penetrate the U.S. and Canadian wind markets. Earlier this year, ACCIONA finalized agreements that brought the total footprint for the AW3000 turbine to 1 GW, noting that it has successfully introduced variations featuring 116-meter and 125-meter (for low-wind sites) rotor options.
