Rhode Island: A Case Study in Offshore Renewable Energy Developments
Rhode Island has quickly become known as an offshore renewable energy destination. Deepwater Wind, a Providence, R.I.-based energy firm and participating organization at Energy Ocean International 2013, could become the first company to start construction of a wind turbine farm off the shores of Rhode Island.
Energy Ocean International carefully chose its conference location for its attendees to experience this new offshore wind location in which projects are expected to begin within the year.
Situated on over 80 beautifully landscaped acres, the Crowne Plaza Hotel at the Crossings is located just three miles from the Providence/Warwick Airport, minutes from downtown Providence, and nearby historic Newport, Rhode Island. Energy Ocean's offsite events have been planned in different locations each night to show you all Providence has to offer.
