This week: Interview with Horst Zell, authorized expert

Horst Zell is an authorized expert for the state testing of wind turbines and rotor blades and has developed a patented technology for the rapid and cost saving inspection of rotor blades.

Windfair: Is the Wind Energy Industry a priority for your company? How so?

Horst Zell: Renewable energy, especially wind energy is coming up for me at the top. For me that is the most reasonable way to get away from the nuclear power plants.

Windfair: How many employees does your company have?

Horst Zell: As an expert for the state testing of wind turbines and rotor blades I work mainly or solely with the respective patent licensees together.

Windfair: Do you have any new or upcoming Wind Energy Products or Services?

Horst Zell: Yes, I have developed a revolutionary, patented technology for the rapid and cost saving inspection of rotor blades to detect internal and external damage preventative (Certified to DIN EN ISO / IEC 17024), see www.hzell.de

Windfair: Do you have any special training programs for your employees?

Horst Zell: Yes, this is a key area. We urgently need more personnel. Here, preferably the patent licensee in Europe will be trained to get experts for the state testing of wind turbines and rotor blades with the new technology.

Windfair: Tell us about your future developments. What can we expect in the next year or two?

Horst Zell: With the new technology, particularly in the offshore sector, I see a tremendous growth of the company in the field of non-contact inspection of wind turbines and rotor blades. That means that the industrial climbers can be used more effectively for the necessary repairs.
