Compact power pack type KA – high flexibility for hydraulic brakes
It takes up little space - even with mounted valves. Type KA consists of a tank with integrated immerged oil motor and a radial piston pump. The pump is built onto the motor shaft without coupling in order to eliminate energy losses and rule out the risk of coupling wear at this point. The better cooling capacity of the hydraulic fluid also makes it possible to use a motor with a significantly lower rating and smaller dimensions than a standard air-cooled motor. At the same time, a smaller motor uses less energy when starting.
Depending on the tank extension the deployable volume can be increased from two to 11 liters. For supplying several hydraulic consumers type KA 4 can even be upgraded to a maximum of 25 liters. It can be installed either vertical or horizontal. The modules for the hydraulic functions, as for example rotor brake, azimuth brake, rotor locking, are mounted directly on to the connection block of the power pack. Due to the modular design they are separated for each function.
