Wind Industry Profile of

This week: TWK-ELEKTRONIK has now been supplying the wind industry with sensor components

particularly for the field of pitch and azimuth regulation - for over 20 years

Düsseldorf, Germany, 06.06.2012. Solutions for optimised application are developed together with the wind turbine manufacturers to make integration as simple as possible for customers and therefore enable costs to be saved. In addition to pure rotary encoders, this process also leads to new products such as our play-free electronic switching cam encoder NOC. This combines a multiturn rotary encoder with relay switching outputs which act as limit value switches. In many cases, this highly-compact component replaces the mechanical, rather unwieldy and more expensive switching cam encoders to be assembled from a rotary encoder and switches. It also operates without play, i.e. without reversal play, which is important for precise rotor blade adjustment. Our special toothed gear ZRS for connection to the crown gear additionally supports this function.

One further component is the new vibration sensor NVA. Its functions are also tailored to the requirements of the wind industry. This refers to the frequency measuring range, its parameterisation capability and the switching relays for alarms on exceeding acceleration limit values.

All components are also suitable for offshore use as they can be manufactured from stainless steel 1.4404.

Our many years of success within this industry underscore our established status as a reliable and innovative supplier of sensors.
