is a traditional, independent engineering company specialising in developing, designing and optimising complete wind turbines and their individual components.

Since 2016, analysis of the potential for wind turbines to continue operating after 20 years has also been a strong business area for the company. 

Lifetime extension – load calculation is a necessity

If the continued operation of wind turbines beyond the 20-year design life is planned, a site-specific assessment of the continued operation potential of the wind turbine(s) at individual or wind farm sites is required.

In a combination of analytical and practical parts, we offer a proven partnership approach with independent experts/consultants as a basis for the safe and economic continued operation of wind turbines. 

To date, over 1,200 analytical proofs have been produced for all 20+ common wind turbine types. The generic models are also calculated in IDASWIND's load simulation department.

We also offer our analytical verifications based on load calculations as a stand-alone service, e.g. as part of your practical report or as an LTE calculation (Lifetime Calculation/Lifetime Extension) in every operating phase of wind turbines; according to DIBt, DNV GL and BWE principles.

In particular, our expertise in load simulation and strength calculation (FEM) also forms the basis for our expertise in the continued operation of wind turbines after 20 years and life cycle calculations in every phase of turbine operation.

Development + Design + Analysis – All under one roof

We offer our customers the complete know-how for the development of complete WEA concepts - from the idea to series production!

Our company is active in the German and international markets and develops WEAs of all performance classes and drive train concepts on behalf of direct customers. 

Optionally, we also offer our design services, including the design of production facilities and the training of installation and service personnel. Our international projects are carried out in close cooperation with regional suppliers, allowing a high degree of local control.
