Welcome to the new edition of the Windfair Newsletter.

In this week's editorial, we take a closer look at Spain. Although the country has long coastlines, there have been no offshore wind farms on a commercial scale to date. However, the government has now announced that it wants to create the regulatory framework by the end of the year so that Spain will be able to utilise the technology that it has been producing for the use abroad for a long time on its own market.

Meanwhile, the U.S. has set a new record in the third quarter for clean energy installations, creating thousands of jobs adding a massive amount of dollars to the GDP. Read more about this topic in this week's newsletter.

In the National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan (PNIEC), the Spanish government has set a target of installing 3 GW of offshore wind energy off its coasts by 2030.
