Circular economy brings enormous benefits for offshore sector
Detail_offshore_transport_1The topic of recycling not only concerns the waste that everyone produces every day, but also the reuse of industrial products. Especially in times when raw materials are becoming scarce or more difficult to obtain, circular economy and recycling play a crucial role.

Last week, the UK offshore wind sector was in the global spotlight. The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy announced the results of the fourth round of renewable energy auctions (ScotWind), in which new projects totaling nearly 11 GW were awarded. Of this, wind energy alone accounted for 8.5 GW, most of it offshore.

So the offshore sector in the British Isles continues to boom, even though the UK has now had to relinquish its world market ...

French developer enters Swedish renewables market
Detail_wind_21French independent producer of renewable energy Neoen has launched the construction of its first asset in Sweden, the Storbrännkullen wind farm (57.4 MW).

The Storbrännkullen wind farm, located  around 100 kilometres from the city of Östersund, will comprise ten Nordex N163 turbines with unit power of between 5.5 and 5.9 MW, for a total capacity of 57.4 MW. CPPA signed for Taiwanese offshore wind power
Detail_offshore_wind_6Canadian developer Northland Power announced the signing of a Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (CPPA) for its Hai Long 2B and 3 Offshore Wind Project in Taiwan.

The agreement is with an investment grade counterparty and covers all the electricity of Hai Long 2B and 3, which have a combined capacity of 744 MW. It runs over a 20-year period at a fixed-price, commencing once Hai Long reaches full commercial operations in late 2026.

Eurowind Energy plans five large energy centers in Denmark
Detail_wind_solar_1Eurowind Energy wants to launch five land-based energy centers with a total capacity of approximately 2.5 GW in Denmark in the coming years.
