HUSUM Wind 2021: Strong words from the industry
Detail_img_6309The HUSUM Wind 2021 is the first major event since the start of the Corona pandemic to be held again in attendance. And the event sends clear signals shortly before the German federal elections: There's an optimistic mood in the industry and the demands on the future federal government are clear.

On Tuesday morning there was some tension detectable among exhibitors and visitors in Husum: How would the first major attendance fair since the beginning of the pandemic go? What would it be like to meet and talk to each other under strict hygiene measures? How is the mood in the industry?

But the worries were unfounded: already at the opening ceremony, the industry was combative, as the last few months had clearly shown that, despite all adversities, renewable energies ...

Wind PPA sold at renewables auction in Chile
Detail_windpark_22EDP Renewables won a 15-year PPA at a Chilean renewables auction, to sell the green energy produced by 120 MW San Andres wind project.

The San Andres wind farm, located in La Araucania, Chile, is expected to enter commercial operation in 2025. Following the successful entry in the Chilean market in May 2021, Portuguese energy company EDPR has now 0.2 GW of secured capacity to be deployed in Chile until 2025. The wind farm will avoid estimated annual emissions of over 90 thousand tons of CO2.

94.6 MW Lyngsåsa wind farm in southern Sweden put into operation
Detail_baywa_20210910German energy company BayWa r.e. has commissioned the Lyngsåsa wind farm - the company's largest wind farm in Europe.

GIG acquires developer of planned Irish offshore wind farm
Detail_offshore_5Macquarie’s Green Investment Group (GIG) has acquired Fuinneamh Sceirde Teoranta, the developer of the Sceirde Rocks offshore wind farm, in Galway, Ireland.

Sceirde Rocks is a proposed 400 MW offshore wind farm which will power the equivalent of up to 295,000 homes. When operational, it’s estimated the project will reduce Irish carbon emissions by up to 457 Kt CO2 emissions avoided per annum.
