'Big Oil' - that's the past. In the meantime, big oil and gas companies are fighting for a share of renewable energies. However, the competition is fierce, because some global players started to rely on these technologies, which were still new at the time, decades ago and now dominate the market.

When it comes to investments in renewable energies, Iberdrola from Spain and Enel from Italy are at the forefront. CWind completed their cable pull-in and termination and testing campaign at Kriegers Flak Offshore Wind Farm in Denmark.

Motor Oil (Hellas) Acquires 12 Greek Wind Farms

MOTOR OIL (HELLAS) has announced a preliminary agreement for the acquisition of a portfolio of twelve wind farms with a total capacity of 240 MW in Greece.

Eleven of the twelve wind farms with a capacity of 220 MW are already in full operation while one of 20 MW is still under construction. The wind farms are mostly located in Central and Northern continental Greece and constitute assets of six target companies. The value of the transaction is estimated at Euro 123.5 million.
