The Corona crisis triggered a global decline in CO2 emissions in 2020. As predicted, however, with the restart of the economy, emissions have risen again. Fossil fuel companies are stoking this development up by clinging to structures they have grown fond of. And where that isn't enough, they sue.
It was such a nice scenario: One of the few positive effects of the global COVID-19 crisis was the initial drop in carbon dioxide emissions last year.
