Wind Farm Provides COVID-19 Aid

But for some time now, South Africans have again been relying on the power of the wind. This now aöso benefits the country in the fight against the Corona virus.

South Africa is one of the African countries worst affected by the Corona pandemic. When the first wave reached the country in spring this year, the government imposed a lockdown, which also affected the construction work for the Kangnas wind farm.

Nordex Receives Another US Major Order
Detail_nordex_20201112Nordex Group received a 63 turbine order for the Delta4000 series N149/4.0-4.5. The name of the project and developer have not been disclosed.

Next summer Nordex will start to deliver and install the turbines for this project in Texas. The turbines are to be supplied in a project-specific operating mode of 4.8 MW, resulting in a total output for the wind farm of 302.4 MW.

Nordex has a growing portfolio in the U.S. of 3.7 gigawatts in turbines sold in Texas alone.

Vestas to Supply 50 MW Wind Farm in Scotland
Detail_vestas_denmark_2Turbine manufacturer Vestas has secured a 50 MW order for ERG wind project Sandy Knowe. The project will be located in Scotland and will feature 14 V112-3.45 MW turbines in 3.6 MW Power Optimised Mode.
