The offshore wind market in the Netherlands is actually in the middle of a boom - but now the first effects of the corona pandemic are being felt.
Bids for the current auction of 700 MW in the North Sea off the Netherlands can still be submitted until the end of the month. However, the circle of bidders will be somewhat smaller this time.
At the beginning of the month Swedish energy supplier Vattenfall announced that they do not want to participate in the upcoming auction. The reason? The current corona pandemic. “There is too much uncertainty right now to make this kind of investment decision”, spokesman Robert Portier told
