Wind Energy Brings Joy to British Royals
Detail_buckingham_1Thanks to offshore wind energy, the Royal Family in Great Britain can rejoice: Their annual income is higher than ever.

The rules of a modern monarchy are complicated. In Great Britain, the Crown Estate is owned by the British Crown. Like the crown jewels, it belongs to the monarch in his/her capacity as head of state, but it's not his/her private property. The monarch can neither sell the Crown property him-/herself nor take the proceeds personally, because the Crown Estate Commissioners are in charge of the administration and are accountable to Parliament.

Ambitious Climate Agreement in the Netherlands

The Netherlands wants to cut CO2 emissions by 49% by 2030 which is a significant increase over its 2020 goal of 25%.

Furthermore, the country set fixed volumes for the expansion of wind energy up to 2030: 7.5 - 8.5 GW of onshore and 11.5 GW of offshore wind. Renewaable energy will then provide 75% of electricity in the Netherlands by 2030.
