The Arkona offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea was built at a new record speed: The workers needed less than three months to erect 60 turbines.
35 kilometers northeast of the island of Rügen, the new Arkona offshore wind farm was built in recent months by developers E.ON and Equinor. The wind farm has a capacity of 385 megawatts and can therefore supply 400,000 households with renewable energy.
