A nacelle casing crashed into the sea at German offshore wind farm Alpha Ventus. The causes are still being researched. Meanwhile improvements are needed in various British offshore wind farms, too. 
In the Spanish province of Zaragoza, a wind farm cluster with an output of 1500 MW is to be built in the coming years. Now the starting signal for a first sub-project has been given. 
Spain's wind industry has had a real rollercoaster ride in recent years: the country was one of the first in Europe to commit itself to the expansion of wind power and was able to attract many companies through the advantageous allocation of subsidies. When subsidies were cancelled, the expansion came to a complete standstill. Those who didn't want to go bankrupt left the country or at least sought their salvation abroad.

According to a report, ACCIONA Green provided its customers in Spain with Guarantees of Origin for a total of 5,309 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of electric power.
