Chile: Energy Transition Without Subsidies
Detail_frv_20180118The turning point for Chile came in 2013 when the government decided to use the opportunities offered by renewable energies to secure a stable and, above all, cost-effective electricity supply for their nearly 18 million inhabitants. Up to that point renewables had been largely untapped in the South American country. But the turnaround led to a fabulous boom in the extension of renewable energies.
