The ability to measure and store real and statistical data over long periods of time is an essential requirement in the evaluation of load characteristics on wind turbine components. The e.pac DL Test Controller offers many robust and redundant ways to accomplish this long term measurement.

The 128 MB internal flash memory of the e.pac DL is capable of storing 32 million floating point values, or 64 million integer values. Extension of this memory is possible by using external storage devices connected to the e.pac DL's USB interface. When a device is connected to the USB interface, the e.pac DL will automatically transfer its internal flash memory to the connected device.

Through the flexible possibilities of configuration of the storage function it is possible to define multiple storage ranges, so e. g. as to store raw data with 100 Hz, the meteorological data with 1 Hz and statistic values only all 10 minutes. The data will be stored in files with definable length. Beyond that there are a lot of communication possibilities like e-Mail, GPRS, VPN available.

With the server software test.node, is it possible to transfer data from the e.pac DL directly to the PC in a selectable format (e. g. FAMOS) and store the files in a hierarchical directory tree structure. This function can exclusively or redundant be used for storing in the logger.
