WKN AG, a leading developer of wind energy farms based in Husum, Germany, sold the Swedish wind project Laxaskogen to a German private investment group at the end of September.

The wind farm will be built in the South of Sweden. Laxaskogen is located in a forest area continuously used for modern Swedish forest industry. The area is already well equipped with roads constructed and used by forest machines and transportations. Construction is expected to be completed within the first quarter 2019. Total installed capacity for the Laxaskogen wind farm will be 25.2 megawatts. The wind farm will consist of 7 turbines each with a capacity of 3.6 megawatts. WKN will be responsible for the construction of the project which has been developed by the Swedish WKN-cooperation VKS Vindkraft Sverige AB.

WKN AG, being part of the PNE WIND Group, again demonstrates its decades of experience in the construction of international turnkey wind farms. "We are pleased that our high-quality project developments create significant interest among our customers," explains Roland Stanze, COO of WKN AG. "Thus, we will furtheron work on wind energy projects in the near future that are already developed ready to build."

"I feel happy about this success. This is one more step to strengthen our position on the international wind energy markets", adds Markus Lesser, CEO of PNE WIND Group.
